Kerrow House

Kerrow House in Glen Affric is a traditional Georgian hunting lodge of the Chisholm style, onetime home to the famous Highland author Neil Gunn, set in 12 acres of delightfully secluded woodland on the bank of the River Glass at Strathglass, between the villages of Cannich and the conservation village of Tomich . This is often referred to as the Gateway to Glen Affric, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt wilderness areas of Scotland . Today the house is available for quality B&B accommodation, with self-catering cottages, chalets and lodges hidden away in the grounds. It is an ideal base for touring and enjoying some of Scotland 's finest glens and mountain scenery, notably Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. The Isle of Skye on the west coast is only two hours by car. Closer to home, for fishermen there is three and half miles of brown trout riverbank fishing on the doorstep.
